La Ruta de la Isla is an active tourism experience on the Guadalquivir River, the largest river in Andalusia, which proposes a canoe trip along a navigable stretch all year round. Along the way, the natural landscape unfolds with abundant riparian vegetation, changing colors and a notable presence of waterfowl, offering a different and close way to discover nature in Cordoba.
The activity includes a stop at the well-known little beach of the island, a natural space where the group can rest and enjoy the surroundings. During the summer months, the tour is completed with the possibility of taking a dip in the river and, for those looking for an extra point of adventure, try the troncolín, a trunk prepared as a trampoline to jump and dive into the clean waters of the island.
The Island Route is suitable for all ages and adapts to each season of the year, offering different attractions at all times. In summer, the freshness of the water and the fig trees laden with fruit; in autumn, the tones of the riverside forest and the strawberry trees; in winter, the surprising deciduous forest and the mushrooms that grow on the banks; and in spring, the explosion of flowers and the birth of the chicks of the waterfowl that nest on the island.
An ideal proposal for those looking for things to do in Cordoba outdoors, combining gentle sports, contact with nature and a refreshing and fun experience in the middle of the Guadalquivir River.
