Guided tours to the farm, the animal park living almost freely
The Centro de Naturaleza Cañada Verde is a sort of a Nature Classroom in the heart of Parque de Sierra de Hornachuelos (Córdoba). It offers magnificent facilities and natural environment to families, schools and any other group of people together with a wide variety of activities and short/long term stays which can give extra approaches to school curriculum.
A great diversity of resources available to all allows us to carry out activities for different types of clients: biodiversity and geodiversity programmes and adventure programmes.
Those programmes are conducted by our own staff trying to develop and transmit values such as respect to nature and group work across the contents.
The activity offers: collecting eggs from the henhouse, feeding baby animals, feeding wild deer from 2 m away, watching wild boars in semi-freedom, finding out how the male deer loses its cornamenta (antlers)every year, and much more.
Our premises hold the Nature Classroom, Restaurant and Hotel with a swimming pool.

The price includes
The price includes a 1,5 km guided tour of about one a half hours’ time along the ancient fossil beaches formed from the Miocene epoch when the Tetis Sea bathed the coastline in Sierra Morena.
A wonderful landscape full of charm and mystery and under the supervision and help of specialized monitors. During the walk we will feed a wide variety of animals, such as wild boars, deer, rabbits, partridges, ducks, pigs, geese, mallards, goats, sheep, peacocks, chickens, ponies, etc.
And the guide will explain the characteristics and curiosities of all these animals.
We will also be able to see a multitude of birds in freedom around us, yellowtails, greenfinches, goldfinches, nightingales, wrens, golden swallows, hoopoes, blackbirds, coal tits, hawks, robins, and even some days we can see griffon vultures gliding through the sky.
You can also enjoy a mountain lunch with typical dishes of the area, mountain meat, “migas serranas” (dish made with crumbs and mountain meat), deer sausages, salads with goat cheese, etc.
We can also offer an organic menu with products from our garden. You will also enjoy incredible views of the Sierra and the Guadalquivir Valley.

Cancellation policy
The cancellation of the reservation may imply the return of part of the money paid, depending on the moment in which it occurs:
- 100% refund – up to 2 weeks before the reservation date.
- 50% refund - up to 1 week before.
- No refund within the last seven days.
- No refund in partial cancellations (any absent person).
- Date or time changes can be possible up to 10 days before the arranged date, subject to availability and with 3 € charge over each of the places of the reservations arranged.
If unfavourable weather conditions, a date change could be requested when availability allows or ask for a full refund.
