Immerse yourself in the historical and cultural richness of the Subbética Cordobesa through cultural visits organized by Colectivo Argamasa. The Cerro de la Merced is a site from the Iberian period located 4km from the town of Cabra.
It is a fortified enclosure inhabited since the 5th century B.C. but most of the archaeological evidence belongs to the 3rd and 2nd century B.C., corresponding to an aristocratic palace. It is considered one of the most important Iberian enclosures of the Subbetica and Andalusia given its strategic location that made it a place for surveillance and control of an important route linking the regions of Turdetania and Bastetania.
